Origins of the Home
It was during a trip to India in the early 90’s that David and Sushila Chaudhary were moved to make a difference in the lives of children they witnessed suffering great need.
For many years it was simply a matter of supporting those already working amongst needy children but it was during this time they felt the need to build a children’s home of their own. Eventually, in 1996, an opportunity came to purchase land in the south-eastern state of Andhra Pradesh.
Initial plans were for a single storey building but as building work began it became clear that we should build as much as practically possible sooner rather than later. A two storey building was constructed with a third added later.
